The Berkeley Alpha DAC Series 1 is a state-of-the-art digital-to-analog converter designed for high-resolution digital audio, known for its "all-business" utilitarian design, and a focus on delivering a transparent and revealing audio experience, even able to drive power amplifiers directly. It features multiple digital inputs (S/PDIF, BNC, AES/EBU, Toslink, and proprietary BADA), analog RCA and XLR outputs, a digital volume control, and a large alphanumeric display for sampling rates. The device also includes HDCD decoding and supports high-resolution sources up to 192kHz, providing exceptional resolution, dynamic agility, and sound staging.
