Isidore Leviton immigrated from Russia to the U.S.A and opened a small tinsmith shop in 1906. He began by producing mantle tips for gas lights, but soon switched to pull-chain lamp holders after Edison’s lightbulb began to gain traction. Today Leviton sells all kinds of electrical products to residential and industrial customers in more than 90 countries across the globe.
